Gratitude is the best attitude. ~ Author Unknown
I have been guided to write a blog on Gratitude, so here I am. What is Gratitude? Gratitude is a feeling of happiness that comes from appreciation. When in a grateful mood, grateful emotions are more likely to flow.
We all have many things to be thankful for and I think it is important to start the day on a positive note. Stating gratitude causes us to think about the goodness in our life, this makes us happy and being happy immediately raises the body’s vibration. With our body vibrating at a higher frequency, we can go about our day in a good mood which in turn affects all those around us, lifting their mood because we are sending out positive energy.
The Law of Attraction comes into play as well. The more you express gratitude, the more you will attract things to be grateful for. The energy you send out into the Universe comes back to you, so sending positive energy – which is our thoughts and emotions – is important.
Gratitude is a form of prayer, a way of saying “Thank You”. Instead of praying for more things, give thanks for what you already have. No matter how bad circumstances may be, there is always something to be grateful for. It’s important to remember that when life seems difficult, see the difficulties as lessons that give wisdom and then be grateful for the lesson and the wisdom. You can ask yourself, “what do I have in my life that I take for granted instead of being grateful for”?
If you are in a slump, feeling sad, lonely or just plain grumpy, one way to raise your vibration is to make a list of all the things in your life that you have to be grateful for. You may surprise yourself! When finished with the list you will no doubt have changed your mindset to “happiness”, or “wow, I really do have a lot to be thankful for”! I have tried this and it works.
Gratitude is big with me! I go for an early morning walk to begin my day and it is early – about 4 AM. We live in a “dark” community so there are no street lights and I am treated to the beauty of the Starlit and/or Moonlit Heavens on a clear night.
After grounding and connecting with Gaia, I start my walk. I say a prayer of Gratitude every morning to Creator. There are so many Blessings in my life that it takes about 6 blocks of walking for me to give thanks for all the Blessings and gifts that I receive!
Sometimes I experience wonderful events and things. The eclipse of the moon, a beautiful aura encircling the moon, a meteor streaking across the sky, (a gift from Archangel Michael) the Milky Way, Aurora Borealis, a sighting of a Scout Ship, a flash of light in the sky which is my Star family saying “Hello”. I have also seen wildlife, a Coyote, a Javelina, heard the choir of a pack of Coyotes, and a rustle in the shrubbery beside me which could be any small critter, so my morning walks are very interesting.
I learned a long time ago that by giving thanks to Creator first thing in the morning lifts my mood, and smooths the way to deal with the small trials and troubles that assail each and every one of us throughout our day.
Gratitude is the music of the heart, when its chords are swept by the breeze of kindness. ~ Author Unknown
